First and foremost...

We owe thanks to several open-source projects and libraries:

...and now, the good news

Rimzu provides a rich API to all its services.
In fact, the Rimzu web site itself uses that same API, and nothing else!

The API is exposed as a standard SOAP Web Service.
Modern development frameworks (e.g. Java, .NET) should support it natively.
For AJAX web developers, we provide a small JavaScript library that wraps the Web Service calls.

The Web service itself listens on http://www.rimzu.com/RimzuService (wsdl here).
We'll soon post here the complete API documentation.

What is it good for?

For the first time, you can access a Social Network's data, without the need to build one yourself. Rimzu's API lets you write programs, plugins and web sites that utilize this data. For example:

Using the API is free, of course.

We'd love to hear of cool things you've done with it, and link to them here.
